Dr. King has spent his entire professional career practicing optometry in Eldon. He graduated with a BS degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1972. After an additional year at the University of Missouri, Columbia, he was admitted to Illinois College of Optometry where he graduated with a Doctorate in Optometry in 1978.
Dr. King has been an active, long-time member of the Missouri Optometric Association and has served on its board of directors. One of his passions is participating as a volunteer optometrist with VOSH/International (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). He has made numerous trips to Central America taking eye care to remote areas where care is typically not available.
Dr. King has been involved in his community and has been active in various service clubs, committees, and boards including the local school board.
Dr. King and his wife Debby enjoy spending time with family and their four grandchildren.
